Construction assurance · UK contractors and delivery teams

Assurance that stands up to the reviewer, the auditor and the client.

StructAssure Ltd provides quality management, chartered engineering assurance and documented quality systems to contractors and delivery teams across UK construction: residential, commercial, institutional and industrial building; infrastructure and heavy civil engineering including rail; mining and tunnelling; interior fit-out; modular and pre-engineered construction; and green and sustainable building. Led by a Chartered Construction Manager and Chartered Quality Professional with more than twenty years in engineering and construction.

What we do

Three service lines, one discipline: evidence that holds.

01

Quality management and assurance

Quality management systems, project quality plans, inspection and test plan regimes, handover and entry-into-service assurance, and audits. Built to be used on site, and to survive the review that follows, in any construction sector.

02

Chartered engineering assurance

Contractor's Responsible Engineer for mechanical scope, the named engineer accountable for a discipline's compliance on rail and infrastructure schemes, together with verification and validation and commissioning witness for any construction project.

03

StructAssure Quality Systems

Downloadable document systems for UK contractors: a full ISO 9001 construction QMS, project quality plan, ITP libraries and check sheets. Each document comes with a completed worked example.

Certification. These documents support your route to certification. They do not confer it. ISO 9001:2015 certification can only be granted by a UKAS-accredited certification body following audit.

Where the experience comes from

Experience across UK construction, not one corner of it.

Construction Manager, Quality Manager and Mechanical CRE roles on Crossrail, the Transport for Wales Core Valley Lines programme, Transport for Greater Manchester's Metrolink network and Anglo American's Woodsmith Mine, with construction and engineering work across residential, commercial, institutional and industrial building, interior fit-out, modular construction and sustainable building, and earlier work on London Underground and in automotive manufacturing and defence engineering.

The vantage point is the same in every sector: reviewing the ITPs, quality plans and handover packs that contractors submit, and returning the ones that fall short. Every document, register and audit finding StructAssure produces is written to pass the reviewer on the other side of the table, because the person writing it has been that reviewer.

  • Mining and tunnelling — led quality assurance on the Woodsmith Mine 1,600 m shaft-sinking project for Redpath Mining and Anglo American, and process control across Crossrail tunnelling works
  • Infrastructure and heavy civil — stations, tunnels, shafts, traction substations, depots and entry into service on Crossrail, Transport for Wales and TfGM Metrolink programmes
  • Industrial — new-build industrial units, maintenance facilities, plant and process buildings, and heavy-industry engineering
  • Commercial, residential and institutional — offices, housing and public buildings, from groundworks to handover
  • Interior fit-out, modular and sustainable construction — CAT A and CAT B fit-out, modular and pre-engineered buildings, and green building delivery
  • Building services (MEP) — construction management and quality assurance across pipework, ductwork, drainage, HVAC, electrical systems and test and commissioning in every sector above
How we work

Plain principles.

Written to be accepted first time

Acceptance criteria are measurable and cited to the governing standard. A reviewer can accept them, an auditor can verify them and a site operative can work to them.

Nothing borrowed from clients

Everything StructAssure issues or sells is authored from scratch against public standards. No client's project records, templates or intellectual property are reused.
